I once did the same things in my band but I was the one who open the stuff. Not too sure every knew about this, sometime our mouth pieces is with saliva when It dry off in the mouth piece, the mouth piece with stuck inside the musical instruments, or if you accidentally drop your instruments on floor with the mouth piece side first, the mouth piece would stuck too.

There is just a random day we go out perform for people, that day our band member bring the camera to record funny moment just to create some memories, but the one of the guy have the difficulties to take off the french horn mouth piece due to certain reason, normally we ask the Tubist guy to open it, inside a band, Tuba is most heavier instrument throughout the whole brass band, if you dont have idea what tuba it it, here is the picture. The tuba with range around 20–30kg, so we just assume the tuba players are really strong and macho.

We have two tubist in the band, they try to ask them to take off the mouth piece but unfortunately no one can open the thing. It end up they make every guy to try to open the mouth piece before we get the mouth piece opener like I shown below. Mouth piece opener is a tools that we used to open out mouth piece in case it stuck in our instrument.

I pass by and I saw the incident, all the band guy are surround with the french horn with the stuck mouth piece, they are headache, almost send the instrument to work shop to repair to get out the mouth piece. I ask if I could try, they just let me tried, there literally no harm for me to try they already plan to send the french horn to the workshop and it will cost them some money to take off the mouth pieces.

Not too sure what happen that day, it ie either I ate the Popeye’ spinach or some weird strength were helping me, I took off the mouth piece effortlessly, the whole bunch of tubist, french horn player, drum guy stare at me like I just rescue them. They give me the shock face as below.

As a petite Human , with 5′ height and not even 100 ibs weight, and plays the smallest instrument inside the symphony band which is trumpet had just take off the mouth piece effortlessly, the whole band stare at me like I just rescue them. That is manliest things that I ever do in my entire whole life. In a normal day I can’t even open my jar of Marmite that I need to ask my dad to open it for me.
