I remembered my first time been to Dragon-i restaurant to eat the pork buns steamed in bamboo steamers that is famous, the waitress come around and give us the menu, and we order the pork soup buns, and we wait for the dish to be serve.
The waitress come over and place us with the big bowl of ginger slice, I din’t know what it is at first, the waitress come over and pour the sauce for us to immerse the ginger slice.
I thought it is soy sauce, so taste the ginger slice first which inside black liquid sauce and I yell out, AWWW! How come you serve me a Bad Soy Sauce, It is sour !!! the soy sauce is broken one, I told the waitress.
The waitress gently reply : Of cause is sour my dear customer, is black vinegar , it is not soy sauce.
The whole restaurant customer look at me and I am sure I saw someone is grinning.
I wish I could just disappear in the restaurant !!!!!!!!!!
So dear Quora readers, if you have the chance to eat Pork soup bun, bear in mind they serve with black vinegar and NOT SOY SAUCE.
Anyway I still think the soup bun is so delicious and is still my favorite dish when I go to Dragon-i, I wont repeat the same mistake now I think the bun is really nice when dipped into the sour black vinegar sauce.
